From the very beginning, the hospitality of the hosts, Mr. Stanzin and his wife Rixin, won our hearts. They are some of the kindest and most humble people we’ve met! always smiling, always making us feel comfortable, and talking to us like family. We even got to spend time playing with their daughter and their adorable dog, which made it feel so homely. The property itself is beautiful. The rooms are cozy with good speed Wi-Fi, always-available hot water, and balconies that open up to breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains! you can literally wake up to that view from your bed. They also have a lovely garden area and a kitchen garden where they grow their own vegetables, and most of the food is prepared fresh from there. The meals were delicious, and on our last day, they even made us a special traditional Ladakhi breakfast, Khambir, which was such a thoughtful gesture. One of the highlights of our stay was when Mr. Stanzin personally took us to some nearby spots that only locals usually know about, it made our trip even more special. The family was also incredibly helpful in guiding us on the best places to visit in Leh. They even kept our spirits high when our flights got cancelled, making sure we stayed positive and comfortable. The place also has fun games like Uno and Jenga, so there’s always something to do if you just want to relax indoors. Between the warm hospitality of Stanzin, Rixin, and their parents, the homely atmosphere, the stunning views, and the great food, Ladakh Odyssey truly feels like a home away from home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Leh! whether for a vacation or a longer staycation.
